Carter poured the oil into a cup and added a few drops each of red, blue, and yellow food coloring. He mixed them together with a fork.With Mike's help, Carter poured the colored oil into the jar of water. He loved watching the color sink.
Our first attempt at water fireworks turned out pretty green. So we tried it again. This time we put in less blue food coloring and it turned out lighter.
Carter had a lot of fun with this experiment!
