Craft #60-Day 65-Clay Bead Jewlery

I knew this craft would be one of Carter's favorites! He loves playing with clay. In fact, ever since the last project using clay, we now have a bowl of clay pieces, beads, etc. We play with this daily and he shaped the clays into "worms". That's the game! " Mom, want to play worms?" Of course!!!!

So needless to say, I gave him the different colors of clay and he started playing right away. We made many beads by adding multiple colors of clay and rolling it all in a ball together. Carter helped cut out the circle shapes for the rings, using the lid off of a food pouch.

Carter made a beautiful piece of art from the clay, which kind of looked like an everlasting gobstopper! I used a straightened out paper clip to poke the holes through the beads and to be the skewer to hold the beads while they bake. After 20 minutes or so, we had beautiful clay bead jewelry. Carter helped thread the beads on for the bracelets and I tied string through the holes of the rings.

This Christmas list just keeps getting shorter.
